Policy BEBB: School Committee Retreat Meetings
From time to time, the School Committee may hold retreats for purposes including, but not limited to: professional development of School Committee members, education for School Committee members about particular topics, and discussions about improving the functioning of the School Committee.
Retreats are not for the purpose of arriving at a decision on any public business within the jurisdiction of the School Committee. No votes are taken at meetings scheduled as retreats.
All meetings scheduled as retreats are open to the public. At all such meetings, the School Committee shall comply with the provisions of the Open Meeting Law.
